SYDNEY (March 9, 2005)
– AZTEC Information Systems announced today that it has become part
of the Synovate group of companies. Synovate is the market research
arm of Aegis Group plc, and has 92 offices across 44 countries in
Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Americas. Aegis
Group is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has a
capitalisation of around AUD$2.7 billion.
Headquartered in Sydney, AZTEC was established in 1995 and has built
a successful business providing value-added scan data processing,
software and support services to retailers and suppliers. Three
years ago AZTEC successfully entered the New Zealand market, and
more recently has established offices in Thailand, Malaysia and the
UK.
AZTEC in Australia and New Zealand will continue business as usual,
backed by the added resources of the Synovate group.
